Welcome Back - Term 3 is here!! -
Chiselhurst is a well-established Toowoomba kindergarten that was thoughtfully founded by Miss Anne Clark in the year 1940, as a direct response to the challenging conditions that children and families were enduring during the tumultuous times of World War II.
Today, this cherished institution proudly gives voice to the experiences and stories of 6 generations and counting! With unwavering commitment, deep love, and a spirit of collaboration, we wholeheartedly embrace our important responsibility to help create a world where every child can grow, learn, and truly flourish.
What’s Happening At Chiselhurst
Week 3 Already!!
You may have noticed someone invading the Administration Desk over the last few days, and this is because our beautiful Ros has earned herself a nice long break! She will be on Long Service Leave until the end of 2025 and enjoying these cold wintery days in the comfort of her home. For the meantime, Emma, who has been working in accounts will be filling her role.
Thank you to everyone who has brought in blue water-proof items! Wanita will be coming in to visit the Daisy group this week on Thursday and Friday – so we will need plenty more over the next few days and weeks!! Some ideas are milk lids, straws, plastic bowls/plates, buttons, pegs, old plastic folders, used pens, coffee cups, pom poms or some cellophane. Have a scour of your craft cupboards and see what we can pull together!

We are absolutely thrilled to have Irena Kobald come and join us today for a surprise visit! Irena is the award-winning author of “My Two Blankets", which is a beautiful tale about friendship, culture and community. She will be reading her book to the children today.

Children can be placed on the wait list from birth by submitting a completed wait list form with a $30 non-refundable booking fee.
Usually around July we begin sending out letters of offer to those families on the wait list for the next year’s kindergarten program. The position is secured once we have received your acceptance and associated enrolment/association fees.
Most positions are filled by the end of November, however late withdrawals can extend the period in which positions are offered.
Our wait lists are often quite long, and not every child on our wait list will be offered a position.

Our Open Day gives any prospective families a chance to visit our centre and join in a morning of Kindergarten activites.

Magical beginnings since 1940
“Seeing each child come alive, their curiosity ignited, their minds full with wonder and their belief in themselves and others grown, that’s the magic! Nurturing experiences are like fairy dust - sprinkle it on them and they will discover their wings”
